This unique program that helps you rediscover yourself and market your talents effectivlely
Students at the threshold of the job market often have to contend with complex choices in their pursuit of the right job.
Some questions, which torment the young job seekers, are:
What should be my chosen career path?
How do I decide on a career path and a job in that career path that is just the right one for my qualifications, my personality and my aspirations?
What should be my approach to find a job in my Chosen Career path
How do I package my Knowledge, Skills and Attitudes into a Power Resume that would showcase my full potential and attract the attention of the potential employers without being unduly long or drab?
How do I choose the companies to which to apply?
How do I stand out in-group discussions?
How do I crack the interviews?
All these questions are pointers to one single question
Is there a professional way of reaching out to potential employers, and embark on a well-chosen, rewarding career?
This is precisely the issue that Career QUEST addresses. The path from college to jobis tricky and the young job seekers need to walk this path in a professional manner, making an optimum use of their intellectual and material resources and energy.

The core program: an overview
Session 1
What do I aspire to be?
In this opening module, The young jobseekers are taken through a guided self introspection and counseling by means of questionnaires, games and group activities. At the end of the session, the candidates are able to clearly articulate their aspirations in life, and decide upon the career options, which are in consonance with their dreams and aspirations.
Session 2
Employer expectations
This important module addresses some fundamental issues related to the KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ATTITUDES (KSAs) that are demanded in a professional set up, expectations of employers and the candidates are able to critically analyze their personal KSAs. They realize that they are not limited by any one definition of themselves (for e.g, a software engineer) but actually have a huge bundle of KSAs packed in themselves. The module helps them get a richer view of what it takes to be successful in their chosen careers and identify the shortfalls in KSAs.
Session 3
Bridging the gap
On reaching this stage of the program, the candidates have a clear picture of their dream careers, their personal competencies and last but not the least, the requirements / demands of their chosen profession and their potential employers. In this module, they identify the shortfalls in their KSAs and get a fairly comprehensive idea of what additional steps are required to be taken by them to reach where they want to be in the near future. In essence they have zeroed in on the direction to proceed in.
Session 4
Power resume
This unique module assists the students in transforming their existing, monotonous resumes into something that fully showcases their full potential in a clear and concise manner. The module aims at making the candidates understand the importance of writing a resume that keep the employers requirements in mind.
This is perhaps the most defining moment of the program. The candidates look at their own resumes, written by them, in a kind of disbelief (IS THIS REALLY MY RESUME?? AM I SO GOOD!!!)
Session 5
Cracking an interview
This module is aimed at developing the requisite confidence, and poise to perform successfully in interviews. Candidates are given an exposure to various kinds of interviews.
